Call for Abstracts for the ISPN Nursing Section
The abstract center for the ISPN Annual Meeting is now closed, however, you are cordially invited to submit an abstract for the Nursing Section of the 37th Annual Meeting of the ISPN to be held on Monday, October 12, 2009.

We encourage you to submit abstracts related to nursing issues for the following pediatric neurosurgery topics:
- Neurosurgical Infections
- Radiodiagnostics
- Congenital Anomalies
- Traumatic Head Injuries
- Psychosocial
- Abstracts will be reviewed and graded in a blind fashion by the ISPN Nursing Section Planning Committee.
- If your abstract is accepted, please plan to attend the meeting to present in person or ask a co-author to do so.
Presentation Format
Each accepted abstract will be assigned a category for presentation based upon grading scores:
- Platform presentation — this is presented orally by the author to the audience with a 15 minute time limit
- Flash presentation — this is also presented orally by the author to the audience but has a 5 minute time limit and 4 slides
- Electronic Poster — displayed electronically on site
- All Presentations and Posters will be in English in PowerPoint format.
- Full abstracts of Platform and Flash presentations and the titles and authors of Posters may be published in Child's Nervous System, the journal of the ISPN following the meeting.
Instructions for Abstract Submission
- When submitting online, enter the presenting author, presenting author's contact information and the names and email addresses of all co-authors.
- Please ensure that the email address of the presenting author is accurate as this will be the sole method of communication regarding acceptance.
- There is a limit of 250 words for each abstract.
- You will receive email confirmation of each submission.
- Abstracts cannot be edited after submission.
Timeline
- Abstract deadline date is July 15, 2009.
- Notification date is August 5, 2009.
- Accepted abstract participants must confirm plans to attend the meeting or identify an alternative presenting author by August 31, 2009.
